Hunter x Hunter fans, rejoice! After a two-year hiatus, the beloved manga series is making a comeback with the release of Volume 38 on September 4, 2024. This exciting news not only brings fresh content but also hints at a potential return to serialization in the near future.
A New Volume and a Glimpse of Hope
The confirmation of Volume 38 comes courtesy of WSJ_Manga, the official Shueisha website. While the volume itself compiles chapters 390 to 400, previously released in 2022, it signifies a crucial step forward for the series. Author Yoshihiro Togashi’s dedication to the story is evident, and fans can’t help but speculate about what this means for the future.
Looking Ahead: Potential Return to Serialization
The timing of Volume 38’s release has fueled theories about a potential return to serialization. Here’s why:
- Following the 2022 Pattern: In 2022, Volume 37’s release coincided with the return of new chapters. Following this pattern, fans believe August 2024 might see the return of serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump.
- Togashi’s Progress: Togashi’s Twitter updates hinting at the completion of chapters 401 to 410 further bolster this theory. New chapters would significantly boost volume sales, similar to the success of Volume 37 in 2022.
A Sustainable Pace for Togashi’s Health
While the possibility of new chapters is exciting, it’s important to prioritize Togashi’s health. A return to a rigorous weekly schedule is unlikely. Instead, fans can expect batch releases, allowing Togashi to work at a sustainable pace.
The Adventure Continues: The Succession War Arc
The upcoming chapters will likely delve deeper into the thrilling Succession War arc, where Kurapika’s strategic brilliance faces a formidable challenge amidst the royal power struggle.
A Time for Optimism
The release of Volume 38 and the potential for new chapters mark a positive turning point for Hunter x Hunter. While we await official confirmation, fans can celebrate Togashi’s progress and keep their eyes peeled for any upcoming announcements. With dedication and a focus on Togashi’s well-being, the future of Hunter x Hunter appears brighter than ever.
